Public Information: The community room has a capacity of 80 to 100.This park is located next to Rancho Park Golf Course. Reservations for the building, baseball diamond and picnic area may be made by calling the number listed above. Facility Features: Auditorium, barbecue pits, baseball diamond (lighted/unlighted), basketball courts (lighted/indoor/outdoor), childrens play area, community room, indoor gym (without weights), picnic tables, volleyball courts (lighted). THE CLASSES, PROGRAMS, AND EVENTS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION.
General Information: Cheviot Hills offers sports programs for youth 5-15 years of age. T-ball/5-pitch, Girls Softball and Girls Basketball are offered in the spring (registration in January). Co-Ed Basketball is offered in the summer (registration in May). Girls Basketball and Flag Football are offered in the fall (registration in July). Co-Ed Basketball is offered in the winter (registration in November). Day Camp Information: Cheviot Hills offers camp programs in the summer, winter and spring. Day Camp for youth 5 - 11 years of age, Sports Camp for youth 8 - 12 years of age, Venture Camp for youth 11 - 14 years of age and Drama Camp for youth ages 8 - 13 years of age. Park Advisory Board Information: The Cheviot Hills Park Advisory Board meets quarterly. Please contact the park office if you are interested in becoming a member. Class Registration Information: Our class information is currently available online (see above). Please call (310) 837-5186 for more information. Most classes run 8 -10 weeks, unless otherwise stated. Students must meet class age requirements by the beginning date of the session. Staff reserves the right to require proof of age at any time. Only Visa/MasterCard can be used to register online. Walk in registration begins the Wednesday prior to the start of the session. Payment in full by credit card, check, or money order must be made in person at the time of walk in registration. Checks are to be made payable to “L.A. City Department of Recreation and Parks”. Please consult with your physician before enrolling in any physically demanding class. Persons with disabilities are welcome to participate in our programs. Reasonable accommodations will be made with prior arrangements. Please notify the instructor prior to onset of class if you or your child has special needs. REFUND P0LICY: Full refunds are only issued when the Recreation Center cancels the activity. A 15% cancellation fee is assessed for all refunds. Changes or transfers per class, sports league or day camp registration; may assess additional fees. After the first day of a session, the Recreation Center issues a partial refund to patrons withdrawing from the activity." |
