Westchester Recreation Center is Well Know for Two Major Community Special Events

The Spring Egg Hunt hosts 2500 people annually. Recreation Center staff fills over 15,000 plastic eggs with candy to hide for the children each year and as you can imagine it takes a lot of coordination and community volunteers.
Secondly the Halloween Haunted House has been in operation for over 20 years. In 2009, KTLA, Channel 5 came out to do a special segment right before Halloween. Each year, director Steven Spielberg comes out to visit the 20+ rooms of horror! (It takes over one month to set).
