Palms Child Care Center opens it’s doors in a new building
for the first time this fall! Our new facility finished construction
in December of 2002 and was licensed by the state of California
in July of 2003. It is now home to many of the programs that
have, until this point, been housed in the recreation center
next door.
The
new building boasts two large classrooms, a computer lab, a
study room, a full kitchen, an isolation room and sick room,
office space, and a play yard. It is truly designed for the
well-being of the children it will serve.
Palms Child Care Center offers pre-school and after-school programs
servicing Overland and Clover Elementary Schools. During the
Summer parents may choose to enroll their preschoolers in Palms
Funsters Camp through the Child Care Center, and school-age children
may enroll in Palms Day Camp through the recreation center.
During the school year (as determined by the LAUSD calendar)
we offer the Funsters Preschool Program for children ages 3 and
4 (children must be potty trained). Our State-Licensed After-School
Program is offered for children in grades K-5th from 3:00-6:00pm.
Please contact the Child Care Office for more information and
availability. Space is limited in these programs. Registration
happens in August of each year for attendance the following September.
Palms Child Care shares its Advisory Board with the Recreation
