The Elysian Park Master Plan will be presented to the Department of Recreation and Parks Board of Commissioners in September. The Master Plan consultant conducted three community meetings and met with Recreation and Parks Staff and the Master Plan Oversight Committee more than a dozen times to produce a plan of consensus recommendations for Elysian Park. The Oversight Committee includes representatives from the Citizens Committee to Save Elysian Park, the Greater Echo Park Neighborhood Council, The Elysian Valley Riverside Neighborhood Council and the Historic Neighborhood Council.

Compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) must be accomplished before the Elysian Park Master Plan can be adopted by the Department of Recreation and Parks Board of Commissioners and the City Council. Consequently, the Master Plan will be presented to the Board of Commissioners as an information item with a recommendation to conduct the appropriate CEQA review and assessment process. The Master Plan will remain in final draft form until the environmental review is completed.

If you have difficulty viewing or downloading the Master Plan, a printed copy is available for review at the field offices of Councilman Ed Reyes at 163 S. Avenue 64 and Councilman Eric Garcetti at 5500 Hollywood Blvd. A copy is also available for viewing at the Department of Recreation and Parks Office at 1200 W. 7th Street.
