Martin Luther King, Jr. Therapeutic Recreation Center provides a variety of programs for people with disabilities in the South Los Angeles area. Center activities encourage and empower individuals to express themselves through recreation activities. These programs help participants to be creative, develop motor skills, increase self-esteem, and enhance their leisure interests. Involvement in our programs will provide socialization opportunities and life skills development. Our primary goal is to improve the quality of life of our participants.
* A therapeutic program for children and teens with disabilities is available.
This facility uses the pool at Celes King III Aquatics Center and the LA84 Foundation/John C. Argue Swim Stadium for all swim programs.
