Elysian Park Therapeutic Recreation Center is located at 929 Academy Road in Los Angeles, near Dodger Stadium. The facility includes an office, gymnasium, classrooms, preschool rooms, as well as an outside children play area.

The center provides recreation programs for community residents, ages two and a half thru adult, which target the interest and needs of participants with disabilities. The offerings include a large after-school program for youth ages 6-18, as well as seasonal day camps, and preschool classes.

Teen and adults may participate in social clubs, body conditioning, and special events such as a Holiday festival, Halloween social, Concert in the park, and a Valentines dance. Approximately 85% of our clientele are people with mental or physical disabilities.

Spring, Summer, and Fall Day Camps

For children with learning and developmental disabilities between the ages of 5 and 13
Full day: 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Half day:12:00 p.m. – 5:30pm. (no trips)

Body Conditioning

For anyone with a disability 14 years to 22 years of age.
Tuesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
This program requires a doctor's approval. Program is designed for individual needs.
