Project Address: 670 E. 49th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90011

Project Description: The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks proposes to convert of an existing residential lot into a small neighborhood “pocket park.” The new pocket park would consist of landscaping, including grass, trees, and shrubbery, decomposed granite, and irrigation system. Park amenities would include three play structures with resilient surfaces, benches, and a drinking fountain. Hardscapes would include concrete walkways. Security fencing would also be installed around the entire site. The proposed park is intended to serve surrounding neighborhoods within walking distance.  The proposed pocket park would comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project site is located at 670 E. 49th Street in Southeast Los Angeles.
