Welcome to the 2013 L.A. Kids Summer Sports Academy. The instructional academy is designed to serve boys and girls, ages 7-14, who have a burning desire to learn, and / or improve their soccer skills. The program is completely “free” and offers a great opportunity for your child to become a better player, make new friends and have lots of fun in the process. All participants will receive free uniforms, quality instruction & free lunch. Please observe the additional information below:
- Walk ins will be accepted the weeks of June 25 - August 2
- Children must begin the week on Tuesday or Wednesday
- No child will be allowed to participate without a completed Self-Certification Form AND a Health History Form
- Each day, the child must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian
- Each day, your child must be in uniform or they will not be allowed to participate
- We do not issue additional uniforms, or loaners
- Your child’s name should be on all personal items
- Your child should not bring any valuables or money to the academy
- Lunch will be provided, however your child may bring their own lunch and drink
- Do not send lunches that need refrigeration or need to be heated
- In an effort to provide a positive experience for all campers, inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Inappropriate behavior can, and will be grounds for removal from the camp. Inappropriate behavior includes, but is not limited to:
- Failure to follow instructions from LA Kids’ staff
- Fighting with other campers or LA Kids’ staff
- Cursing at other campers, LA Kids’ staff, or in general
- Disrespecting other campers or LA Kids’ staff
- Willful destruction of City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks property
- Any behavior by the camper, parent(s), relative or representative of the camper, that the Camp Director considers detrimental to other campers or LA Kids staff
