SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM
Approximately 100 recreation centers throughout the City of Los Angeles participate in the Summer Food Services Program for Children. Providing free, nutritionally-balanced lunches for our young people, ages 1-18, is the goal of this program. This popular program gets its funding from the United States Department of Agriculture. Each meal features nutritious components from the five basic food groups. Meals are available per age qualification, without regard to race, color, national origin, age, or disability.
