Be a Partner

To collaborate with the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP), an individual, agency or organization is invited to submit a written proposal describing the nature of the proposed project, program, activity, sponsorship or other form of collaboration. An ideal proposal provides opportunities in one or more of the following areas:

OPERATIONAL COLLABORATIONS
  • Free or low cost Recreational Programs
  • Sports Programs and Clinics
  • Support of Museums, Historical Sites and/or Cultural Programs
  • Community Gardens and Other Open Space Utilization
  • After School Programs
  • Human Services Programs (i.e: child development, senior programming, life skills and personal development)
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
  • Recreational Programs
  • Facility Improvements
  • Amenity Support
DONATIONS & GIFTS
  • Monetary for general or specific purposes
  • Real property for park purposes
  • Capital Improvement and development of park facilities
  • In-kind support (i.e. volunteers, maintenance, equipment, etc..)

Partnership Criteria

The following criteria is considered in evaluating Collaborations:

  1. Must support the Department’s Mission and Vision in enhancing recreational opportunities for the benefit of Los Angeles residents
  2. Must demonstrate proof of insurance coverage pursuant to scope of proposed collaboration
  3. Program opportunities and/or facility improvements must be open and accessible to the public
  4. Collaborations must primarily benefit the City of Los Angeles communities and residents
  5. The proposed collaboration must be privately funded by the submitting party
