Join us for St. Patrick's Day at Pershing Square

Tuesday March 17, 2015 Pershing Square will be host its annual Saint Patrick’s Day celebration.

The event will begin at 11:00 with a parade sponsored by Councilman Tom LaBonge and the L.A. Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums band. AT 11:30 stage announcements will salute the Irish Community. Entertainment will follow at noon including the Cleary Irish Dancers, Irish Rock Band Swagger and Crowd Theory an alternative cover band.

Swagger will take the stage at noon. The band has been honing its original brand of Celtic music at festivals and concerts across the United States. Swagger is well known for its high energy performance and catchy original songs. The band has released three albums Trouble on the Green, The Grave and American Land. Swagger’s musicianship and live performance are most certain to give this year’s audience a Saint Patrick’s Day to remember.

Crowd Theory will follow Swagger on stage at 1:30. The band performs a unique arrangement of covers including music from the Black Keys, Imagine Dragons, Group Love and Vampire Weekend.

A beer garden and food trucks will be included in the day’s events which will run until 3:00pm Leprechaun photo cutouts and radio sponsors 100.3 The Sound will also be on site for the celebration.

For community members interested in participating in the parade, please meet at 11:00am on the corner of 5th and h\Hill Street. The parade will travel south on Hill to 7th Street; west to Olive Street; and then north to 6th Street, where they will enter the park.
