PREFERRED OPTION

As a result of valuable input gathered at numerous meetings, the option shown on this page was developed and is the current preferred option.

• Add new low water use planting areas at the upper lawn and at the central plaza area
• Install decomposed granite (DG) at the Spring St. bus transit node and a DG connecting path to the upper lawn
• Expand the existing planting areas in the lower lawn
• Add a DG path to the Firemen’s Memorial
• Seed the upper and lower lawn areas with lower water use hybrid turf grass

NORTH LAWN

The north lawn portion of the project will be combined with each of the three options above, and will be identical for each option. It consists of the following:

• Remove all turf
• Plant a variety of low water use plants
• Install decomposed granite paths connecting the Temple and Spring Street entrances, with permeable paving at the ends of the paths
• Redesign the irrigation system
