The Los Angeles District of the Corps is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) as part of its evaluation of the request by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks for a waiver of the conditions of the Special Events Policy in order to hold a musical and arts festival known as AngelFest in Sepulveda Dam Basin.

This public notice is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to inform the general public that the Los Angeles District of the Corps is preparing an Environmental Assessment in support of the proponent, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks’ (RAP) request for a waiver of certain conditions of the Special Events Policy (Appendix A-5 of the Sepulveda Dam Basin Master Plan, 2011) on order to hold a Special Event, AngelFest in the Sepulveda Dam Basin in October, 2016.
The Corps invites the general public to submit comments on potential environmental impacts that could result from implementation of the proposed action and alternatives. The public comment period on the EA for the proposed project will extend from April 12, 2016 to May 12, 2016. All comments must be received by 5 p.m. on May 12th.
