Website Address Change Notice

To comply with the requirement for government agencies to use the .GOV top-level domain in web addresses, RAP’s website will transition from laparks.org to the new recreation.parks.lacity.gov web address.

The new web address will take effect on December 11, 2025. The website and online registration system will be offline from December 10, 2025 at 8:30 PM to December 11, 2025 at 7:00 AM during the transition.

The previous web address laparks.org will automatically forward visitors to the new web address.

ABOUT US
A Department of Parks was included in the City's first Freeholder Charter, adopted in 1889. Placed under its jurisdiction were parks and public land that had been set aside for the perpetual use of the community in the original Spanish land grants.
