Project Scope
Play Area Renovation Project, which includes the replacement of existing play equipment, installation of resilient surfacing and shade sails, and any necessary path of travel improvements and the allocation of Quimby funds for such project (Report No. 18-170 In installation of fitness equipment, and other amenities such as trash receptacles benches and a hydration station. It also includes park pathway, path of travel and parking lot improvements.

Project Funding
- Five Hundred Thirty-Seven Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($537,589.00) in Quimby Fees for the proposed Project (Report No. 18-170).
- Play Area Renovation Project- Four Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($480,000.00) in Measure A funds.
- The total amount of funding available for the proposed Project, including previously allocated Quimby Fees, is One Million, Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Eighty-Nine Dollars ($1,017,589.00)
Completion Date
Spring 2021

The Department of Recreation and Parks operates 29 senior citizen centers throughout the City. In addition, these centers offer activities, programs, and special events such as shuffleboard, croquet, arts and crafts, zumba, line dancing, language lessons, oil painting, entertainment, and social dancing. Some senior citizen centers offer a nutrition program through the Department of Aging.
